Nyonya Spices Fried Chicken Marinade Chicken
Every Peranakan family has their own version of Ayam Rempah. It is a different mix of herbs and spices that make it unique to it's own. Enjoy your fried chicken with our family favourite recipe, Nyonya Spices Fried Chicken marinade paste. Grill, air-fry or deep fry it, the taste will surely blow you away!
Serves:Ā 4 Servings
Cooking Time:Ā 15-20 Mins
š§ š§š¶ļø Ingredients:
1 kg of Chicken (any part that you like!)
Agak-Agak Nyonya Spices Fried Chicken Marinade Paste (1 x 100g)
šŖ Prep:
Ā Marinate 1kg of chicken (drumsticks/wings/tenders, etc) with Agak-Agak Nyonya Ayam Rempah Paste for at least 3 hours or overnight for better taste.
š©š»āš³ Cooking Instructions
Fry:
Fully coat marinated chicken well with rice flour.
Gently shake off the loose flour from the chicken.
Let coated chicken sit for 5 - 10 minutes.
Recommend to double fry the chicken. Fry for 5 minutes on medium heat, take it out from the oil to cool it down slightly, then fry for another 3 minutes.
Adjust the time according to the size of the chicken.
Grill/Pan Fry:
Grill/ Pan Fry chicken pieces on medium heat till golden brown.
Air Fry:
For a healthier option, use chicken tenders.Ā
Preheat the air fryer at 180Ā°C.
Air fry one side for 5 minutes, flip it over and air fry for another 6 minutes.
